years have past since 'Billy' was a friend of mine. He use to come with his mother to a neighbor of my grandmother Laura Hastings. We played together, he was only 2 years older than I. I have very fond memories of him. I kept track of him after I married, as we past his place on West 16 Highway. I remember the death of his daughter and how hard that was for him. As years passed and Joy passed away, I lost track of him. I am sorry for his death, and hope your grief will give you comfort in days to come. I am also sorry about the Alzheimer's as it steals our loved ones long before we are willing to give them up. May God's peace be with your. Dorothea MEEK Coleman.
Bill and Donna were a big part of the barn dance we would have during the Fall Festival at Silver Dollar City, for many years Bill also took care of the dance floor putting the cornmeal down and spreading it out so the dancers could glide across the floor.
Bill was great about helping the young folks learn how to dance, and would encourage the kid's to get out there and have some fun too.
