William "Bill" Dowell's Obituary
William “Bill” Dowell, age 87, of Springdale passed away Thursday January 30, 2020 in Fayetteville. He was born February 28, 1932 in Fayetteville the son of Harvel Frank and Joy Inez Peterson Dowell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Joyce Annette Dowell and an uncle Don Peterson.
He worked as a custom home builder as well as an electrician, engineer and supervisor for SWEPCO. He was the long-time choir director at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Bill was a great ballroom and western swing dancer. He was very adventurous loving to travel and snow ski.
He is survived by his two daughters Nancy Witcher of Colcord, Oklahoma and Kathy Holtzclaw and her husband Benny of Springdale; long time companion Donna Easley of Springdale; three grandchildren Clay Witcher and his wife Melissa of Tupelo, Mississippi, Cary Witcher of Seymour, Tennessee, Matt Holtzclaw of Springdale and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday February 3, 2020 at Nelson-Berna Funeral with Memorial Service starting at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 5506 W Walsh Ln #212, Rogers, AR 72758.
