I was lucky enough to meet Bill Durning in about 1968 when I was 12 years old. I was spending my summer vacation with my uncle Bill Younkin and he wanted to build a Model T speedster. We got most of the parts from Bill. I remember him as one of the guys that helped to shape my early years. From what I learned from both of the Bills I have always helped new members to the T community in any way that I can. As I lived a long way from Fayetteville I always enjoyed seeking out Bill at the Petit Jean Swap meet every year. I will miss him and his Model T wisdom.Paul MikeskaDenver Colorado
Jerry, Shirley and Coy:Our heartfelt sympathies for your loss. You are in our thoughts. May your sadness be tolerable and your memories sweet.
Dear Jerry & Shirley,I am so sorry about the loss of Uncle Bill. My favorite memory of him was his love for fixing up old model "A's" and old Model "T's". He was always so much fun to be around and was truly a wonderful uncle. My thoughts and prayers are with you both, as well as all the grandchildren. Love, June & Russ Hanson
Forever in our hearts, you've left us with so many memories Papaw. You taught us so many things, but now you've earned your angel wings. On several occasions you mentioned you'd rather be with Mamaw-& Mom...now you are. I hope you dance!! I miss you all so very much! Love, Hollyhock
